The MDEC’s SME Digitisation Grant
The Government will provide a 50% matching grant or up to RM5,000 for Digital Marketing & Sales (eCommerce) related initiatives.
Who Is Eligible for
The SME Digitisation Grant
- 60% Malaysian-owned companies.
- Companies registered under relevant Malaysian laws as SME and COOPERATIVE(Koperasi)
- Companies that have been in operation for at least 6 months; and
- Companies that have a minimum of RM 50k annual sales return.
How to Apply for
The SME Digitisation Grant
STEP 1
- Submit your interest by filling up the form here
- ABR will then run through a digital health-check with the respective SME applicant to ensure the selected digital solution is suitable to their digitisation needs
- Upon discussion, ABR will customize a quotation that suit to individual SME’s needs.
STEP 2
- Fill in this application form for the SME Digitisation Grant
- Prepare all necessary documents (hardcopy, company stamped & signed or CTC copies)
- Gather stamped & sign quotation, application form & all necessary hardcopy documents.
- SME applicant must complete and submit the application form together with supporting document to ABR
- ABR to submit the application form together with the supporting document to the Bank.
Documents needed for SMEs Digitisation Grant Application
– A copy of the completed SME Digitisation Grant Application Form.
– A copy of the identity card or passport of the company’s directors or partners, whichever is applicable.
– A copy of the business registration licenses – CCM, Form A/B, Form 24 & 49, M&A or any documents under the Company Act 2016 (CTC required).
– Latest Audited financial statements or Bank Statement for latest 2 months.
– A copy of your company’s bank statement for the last two (2) months.
– Quotation/Invoice for the selected Digital services from ABR. company stamped and signed.
– Any other information and documents as and when required by the bank.

STEP 3
- The Bank will notify SME once the Grant application is approved.
- SME to make 50% payment from the total invoice or more which Bank will only make payment 50% or up to RM5,000 to ABR
- SME to submit proof of payment to ABR.
STEP 4
- BSN will remit the 50% Grant disbursement to ABR.

Each company is only allowed to one (1) application, but each application can cover up to three (3) digital solutions capped at RM 5,000.
This Grant is initiated by MDEC and will be worth RM500 million over 5 years, limited to the first 100,000 SMEs applying to digitise their business operation.
No. The grant application is free. Successful applicants will still need to pay the other half (50%) of the cost of the solutions to be eligible for the matching grant.
